Azerbaijan unable to solve a combat task through hiding behind shepherds and farmers – Artsrun Hovhannisyan
Spokesperson at the defense ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan talked to Panorama.am over the recent comments of Azerbaijani Defense Minster Zakir Hasanov about works conducted in Nakhijevan and the alleged control of the Lachin road (narrow corridor connecting Armenia with Nagorno Karabakh) by the Azerbaijan forces.
To remind, Hasanov announced about “successful operation of the Azerbaijani forces” that has allegedly advanced further into a no man's land on the border with Armenia in Nakhijevan direction.
“The Azerbaijani Army is unable to hide behind the back of shepherds and farmers,” Hovhannisyan told Panorama.am
He declined to comment on possible actions of the Armenian forces, saying: “The Armenian side warns that it is impossible to solve a combat task hiding behind the back of shepherds and crawling ahead a distance of two meters. From now on, not only the lives of their soldiers but shepherds and farmers are endangered,” Hovhannisyan said.
