Mane Tandilyan to continue serving as minister of labor and social affairs despite resignation
Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mane Tandilyan will continue serving as minister, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated on Thursday at the cabinet session.
In the PM’s words, the decision was made as a result of the discussion with the minister.
“We should eliminate all suspicions between us and the public,” Pashinyan said.
Mane Tandilyan announced her decision to step down on June 12. In a post on Facebook, she cited the differences between her and the new Armenian government over the funded pension system that was adopted by parliament on Wednesday.
Tandilyan who had previously opposed to the system
spoke in favor of postponing the introduction of the mandatory funded system for one year to find a more favorable solution through public discussions.
