Volodin has nothing else to do but praise Azerbaijan in Baku
Lawmaker at Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin has said it is of utmost necessity to exclude any escalation in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Volodin’s remarks has come at a meeting with Azerbaijani parliamentarians in Baku.
“We cannot remain indifferent to the Nagorno Karabakh issue. As you know Russia is actively working toward the peaceful settlement of the conflict. Those, who are pushing for escalating the conflict, have no desire to see and listen to the people wanting to live in peace, are heading toward rising the tensions. Azerbaijan has always taken a constructive and right position,” Azerbaijani sources have quoted Volodin as saying.
It remains unclear what the Russian lawmaker while meant referring to ‘the constructive approach of Azerbaijan’, especially, in the light recent ceasefire violations.
The Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army reported earlier that on June 17 at around 21:45 Azerbaijani forces undertook an attempt of sabotage and subversive intrusion toward one of the military positions located in the eastern direction of the Defense Army.
