Temperatures expected to hit +40 °C in Armenia’s capital on 29-30 June
Temperatures are expected to hit +40 degrees Celsius in Yerevan, Armenia’s capital on 29 and 30 June, with sunny weather forecast for the city in the next few days.
Meteorologists say the index of the ultraviolet rays is expected to reach 6 today, from 11am to 3pm, warning against direct sun exposure in that period, the Emergencies Ministry said.
Rains and thunderstorms are predicted in the country’s northern regions on Monday evening, with wind speed to reach up to 15-20 m/s during thunderstorms. Hail is also possible in some places.
No precipitation is expected in the country from 26 to 30 June.
Southwest wind speed is 3-8 m/s. The air temperature will gradually increase by 4-5 degrees.
