Azeri deputy FM to attend BSEC meeting in Yerevan, not FM – Armenian official
Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev will represent Azerbaijan in the meeting of the 38th Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) member states to be held in Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, instead of the country’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
Turkey will be represented by the head of the Foreign Ministry’s Multilateral Cooperation Department at the meeting scheduled for tomorrow, June 27, Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Tigran Balayan told Panorama.am.
Armenia is expected to pass the BSEC presidency to Azerbaijan at the end of tomorrow’s meeting, with Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Garen Nazarian and BSEC Secretary General Michael Christidesz set to issue press statements.
The BSEC member states are Armenia, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
