Russia wants possible meeting between Armenian, Azeri FMs to be effective – spox
Russia wants the possible meeting between Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan – Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Elmar Mammadyarov – to be productive and constructive, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova told a news briefing on Thursday.
"If such a meeting is agreed and held, we really want it to be effective held in a good atmosphere,” she said, commenting on Russia’s stance on such a meeting.
“We believe at the moment that meeting is especially necessary to address the problems that are on the agenda, including those between the two states,” Zakharova said.
Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Tigran Balayan said on June 18 that no meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs is agreed yet.
