Poland ratifies EU-Armenia agreement
The Senate of Poland (the upper house of the parliament) on Friday unanimously ratified the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), Armenia’s Ambassador to Poland Edgar Ghazaryan said in a post on Facebook.
The agreement has already been ratified by the Sejm – the lower house of the Polish parliament.
Thus, Poland becomes the fifth country after Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia to ratify the document.
The EU and Armenia signed the new deal on the sidelines of the EU Eastern Partnership Summit in November 2017.
The agreement was provisionally applied on June 1.
