Armenian PM to meet EU leaders in Brussels – Foreign Ministry spox
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is due to pay a working visit to Brussels on 11-12 July, Spokesman of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan told a briefing on Monday.
The PM is expected to hold meetings with the EU leadership during the visit, the official said.
He also informed that a series of visits of Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan is expected in July, adding the timeframes of the visits are being clarified.
Speaking about the FM’s official visit to Brussels last week, the spokesman said it was rather eventful both in terms of its content and the meetings within the visit.
“Germany is one of our important partners, and that visit was yet another opportunity to reiterate the valuable cooperation we have established with Germany,” he said. “Germany will continue to expand its support to Armenia's development.”
Balayan also informed that Permanent Under Secretary and Head of the Diplomatic Service at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Sir Simon McDonald is expected to visit Armenian on 6 July.
Prior to that, on July 3, the European Parliament will put to the vote the draft resolution on supporting the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the attached resolution on the Armenia-EU relations approved by the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs back in May.
The official also informed the Armenian Foreign Ministry launched a new website last week. “The websites of our embassies and consulates will also transform soon,” he said.
