People advised to avoid direct sun exposure amid high UV index in Armenia today
The Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations urged the public to avoid direct sun exposure from 11am to 3pm today as the index of ultraviolet rays is predicted to reach 7 in the country.
Meteorologists expect no precipitations in the territory of Armenia in the daytime of July 2, as well as from 3 to 6 July.
Southwest wind speed is 3-8 m/s. The air temperature increased by 1-2 degrees on Sunday will not change significantly in the coming days.
Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, is about to experience an extremely hot week as temperatures are expected to hit +41 degrees Celsius within the next few days till July 6.
Most regions of the country will also experience excessive heat, with temperatures exceeding +40 degrees expected in Armavir, Ararat regions, as well as in Syunik valleys.
