Armenia’s computer production saw 5% increase in Armenia
According to the data released by National Statistical Service a total of 233 units of computers were manufactured in January-May of 2018, which is 5% increase over the indicated period of the previous year. In 2017, 222 units of computers were manufactured in the country.
According to the source, a total of 224 units of tables were produced in the country in January-May 2018, up by 4.1 times from the same period last year.
According to the NSS figures, Armenia did not produce smartphones in the first five months of the ongoing year, while some 230 units of mobile phones were manufactured in the country from January to March 2017.
To note, the first Armenian Armphone smartphones have gone on sale since January 2016. Prior to that, Armenia did not produce mobile phones.
