Armenian PM: ‘The unconditional implementation of the Constitution is a sacred duty for us all’
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has issued a congratulatory message on the Constitution Day marked in Armenia on July 5, the PM’s office told Panorama.am.
The message reads:
“Dear compatriots,
I congratulate you on the Constitution Day.
Our country saw an epochal event – the popular velvet revolution. It took place in a peaceful and constitutional way. We are together establishing a rule of law in Armenia, which is one of the key goals of our entire people and society.
As you know, after its adoption, our country’s main law has undergone changes. They have been acceptable or not for some at times. Today we have what we have, and the unconditional implementation of the Constitution is a sacred duty for us all.
Our future steps will also be in line with the Constitution. Moreover, all the former possible encroachments on the constitutional order will be thoroughly and publicly examined.
Our struggle and work are aimed at ensuring that the rights and freedoms of the Armenian citizens guaranteed by the Constitution do not remain on paper, but be fully exercised.
Proud citizens of the Republic of Armenia,
I congratulate you on this important holiday, wishing all of us peace, happiness and all the best.”
