Latin America beats Europe 5-2 in Yerevan Legends Match
Latin America's symbolic football team beat Europe 5-2 during the Match of Legends held at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in the Armenian capital of Yerevan on Sunday, July 8.
Participating in the exhibition match were a group of Latin American and European football stars, including Rivaldo, Gabriel Batistuta, Hernán Crespo, Luis Figo, Dida, Cafu, Ivan Zamorano, Serginho, Juliano Belletti, Youri Djorkaeff, Jari Litmanen, Hristo Stoichkov, Demetrio Albertini, Ludovic Giuly, Kakha Kaladze, Ryan Giggs and others.
Armenian national team long-time goalkeeper Roman Berezovsky and legendary footballer Khoren Hovhannisyan also took part in the match, playing for the European team.
The event was organized by Russia-Armenian businessman Arthur Soghomonyan, who is the new owner of Armenia’s FC Pyunik.
