Cafesjian Center for the Arts hosting exhibition of Armenian contemporary abstract art
The Cafesjian Center for the Arts in Yerevan opened today an exhibition, "11: Selections of Armenian Contemporary Abstract Art" in the Eagle and Sasuntsi Davit Garden galleries of the Center artworks.
The exhibition features works by eleven Armenian artists: Albert Hakobyan, Ashot Harutyunyan, Gagik Ghazanchyan, George Kassabian, Edik Boghosian, Leo Leo Vardanyan, Khachatur Martirosyan, Hamlet Hovsepian, Moko Khachatryan, Yura Harutyunyan, Vahan Rumelyan.
According to the Museum report, the exhibition, 11: Selections of Armenian Contemporary Abstract Art at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts is an attempt to present the field of contemporary abstract art in Armenia which is far broader than the borders of this exhibition. These eleven artists in the Eagle and Sasuntsi Davit Garden galleries reveal how different abstract art can be in the perspective of aesthetics and technique.
Significant part of the artworks is presented for the first time or is created especially for this exhibition. This is also the first major project at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts related to the Armenian contemporary abstract art.
The public dates for the exhibition are July 14 to September 16, 2018. The admission will be free of charge, the source said.
