Famous soprano Hasmik Papian to perform solo concert in Artsakh
Renowned soprano, People’s Artist of Armenia Hasmik Papian will be holding a solo concert at the Shushi State Museum of Fine Arts in Artsakh on 20 July.
The concert program features Komitas, as well as famous opera arias, Gayane Davtyan, Director of ART PR Company organizing the concert, told Panorama.am.
She says Papian herself expressed desire to perform a concert in the country, which coincided with the invitation of the Artsakh Ministry of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism to the famous singer.
According to the director, the singer’s four-day trip to Artsakh will be rather eventful, with interesting meetings planned during the visit, apart from the concert.
The singer is expected to meet with children of an arts school in the Togh village of the Hadrut region, as well as children of music schools, pay a visit to military units and conclude her Artsakh tour with a solo concert on 20 July.
Pianist Ella Melik-Husyan will perform with the soloist, Davtyan said.
Entrance is free.
