Golden Apricot Yerevan Int'l Film Festival winners named
The 15th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival has summed up the films in competitions, the official website of the festival reports.
The Boards of Juries of International Feature Competition, International Documentary Competition and Armenian Panorama Special Program as well as the FIPRESCI accordingly have announced this year’s competition results at the official closing ceremony of the festival held on Sunday, July 15, at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.
The winners of this year’s edition are as follows:
International Feature Competition
Golden apricot: Volcano, dir. Roman Bondarchuk (Ukraine/Germany)
Silver apricot: Fortuna, dir. Germinal Roaux (Switzerland)
International Documentary Competition
Golden apricot: Distant Constellation, dir. Shevaum Mizrahi (USA/Turkey/ Netherlands)
Silver apricot: See You Tomorrow, dir. Ainara Vera (Spain)
Special jury mention: Transparent World, dir. Vakhtang Kuntsev-Gabashvili (Georgia)
Armenian Panorama Special Program
Hrant Matevosyan Award for the Best Script on The Armenian Panorama: Sunset Truck, dir. Abolfazl Saffari
Sos Sargsyan Award for The Best Actor in Armenian Panorama to Shant Hovhannisyan: Yeva, dir. Anahit Abad (Armenia/Iran)
Armenian National Film Academy Award for Best Film in Armenian Panorama: Yeva, dir. Anahit Abad (Armenia/Iran)
Union of Cinematographers of Armenia Award for the Best Debut in Armenian Panorama: With the Wind, dir. Arthur Sahakyan (Armenia)
AAFCCJ Award for the Best Diaspora Director in Armenian Panorama: We Are Our Mountains, dir. Arnaud Khayadjanian (France/Armenia)

The 15th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival was held from 8 to 15 July. This year, the festival has received 600 applications from 83 countries, with a total of 110 films included in the competition and non-competition programs.
