PM excludes any solution to the NK conflict that would be unacceptable for people
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan excludes any solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict that would be unacceptable to the people, the PM stated today at a press conference in the government house.
“Whenever we speak of a compromise solution it means there are two sides with each of them ready to make compromises. I want to understand what the reason is to discuss our adherence to a compromise solution if Azerbaijan obviously is not ready for a compromise. Whenever we receive a message about Azerbaijani commitment to a compromise solution, we will discuss the matter,” the PM stressed, adding it is yet to be discussed with the Armenian people what are the limits of the compromise.
“I exclude any solution to the NK conflict that would be unacceptable for our people. There will be no power in Armenia that could solve the issue irrespective of that factor no matter how much it wished,” said Pashinyan.
Pashinyan also spoke about his recent meeting with Armenia’s first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan.
“The first president expressed a desire to discuss certain issues with me. I invited him to the guest house of the governmental residence. We sat, drank a coffee and discussed. He was eager to inform me some aspects concerning the Artsakh conflict he had thought would be unknown to me. The conversation was very useful. However, he didn’t tell me information I was not aware about,” the PM said.
