Situation in Nakhijevan direction under control – defense minister
“The situation in Nakhijevan direction is under control as Azerbaijani Armed Forces continue engineering works aimed at strengthening their positions,” Armenia’s defense minister Davit Tonoyan told reporters on Wednesday.
Minister Tonoyan assured no escalations is currently observed at the borderline.
To remind, media reports suggested Azerbaijani forces have allegedly advanced into a no man's land on certain sections of the border with Armenia in Nakhijevan direction.
“Our Armed Forces took measures that have neutralized [the risks of] the shortened distance between the two combat positions. All the measures are at place,” added the minister.
