Armenia conquers gold and bronze medals at European Junior Olympiad in Informatics
The Armenian team won two medals at the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (EJOI) held in the Russian city of Innopolis from July 26 to August 1.
As the ministry of science and education reports, Armenian 9-grader Alexander Abelyan, representing Yerevan Quantum college, conquered gold, while another 9-grader Emil Kostanyan from the Physics and Mathematics Specialized School after Shahinyan took bronze medal.
European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (EJOI) is an individual programming contest for young programmers from Council of Europe countries. This year the contest brought together around 80 participants from 21 European countries under the age of 15. The Armenian team was coached by lecturer Armen Andreasyan from the Yerevan State University (YSU).
