Armenia’s agriculture ministry joins campaign to ban single-use plastics
The Armenian Ministry of Agriculture is joining the campaign of banning single-use plastic products across the country initiated by the Ministry of Nature Protection, rejecting plastics use in the structure, the ministry said on Wednesday.
Minister Artur Khachatryan has instructed the ministry staff, as well as the organizations under the agriculture ministry to acquire only glass water bottles for the needs of the ministry.
On 10 July, Nature Protection Minister Erik Grigoryan unveiled his ministry's plan to ban single-use plastic products in Armenia.
According to the minister, the process will launch in a community to further spread to the whole region, and after a while Armenia will join the countries that have banned single-use plastics.
