Armenia’s Sergei Movsesian wins Pardubice Open int’l chess tour
Armenian GM Sergei Movsesian became the winner of Pardubice Open international chess festival held in the Czech Republic from 20 to 27 July.
The Armenian player claimed 6 victories and drew 3 games to win the main A tournament of the chess festival with a total of 7.5 points, outperforming a total of 308 chess players, including 45 grandmasters competing in the tournament, the Chess Federation of Armenia told Panorama.am.
This is Movsesian’s third win in Pardubice Open. The Armenian chess player has also improved his personal rating by ten spots.
