Heavy rain causes flood in western Georgian town of Poti
Heavy rain has caused the flooding of yards and ground floors of several streets in the coastal town of Poti in western Georgia, Agenda.ge reported.
Two main districts were particularly affected by the rain which started late last night and continued for several hours, according to the source.
Power was lost as a result of the weather conditions which made it impossible for emergency services to use water-pump systems. Power has been restored and the water-pump systems are in action. A special commission has been created which will estimate the material damage caused.
