Minister reports strong tourism growth in Armenia in first half-year
Armenia’s tourism sector saw a strong increase of 12% in the first half of 2018, Minister of Economic Development and Investments Artsvik Minasyan said at today’s Cabinet meeting.
“Yes, we already have nearly 12% growth as of the first half-year, but we are expecting a greater growth especially during autumn,” the minister said in response to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s question.
Minasyan especially highlighted Armenia’s gastrotourism, ethnotourism and ecotourism.
In addition, according to the official, the number of people who wish to see the new Armenia has also increased.
