Armenia’s deputy tax chief dismissed
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has signed a decision to dismiss Ara Gabrielyan from the position of Deputy Chairman of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC).
Citing Article 7.3 of the law on public administration system structures, the decision, posted on e.gov.am website, says he is relieved of his duties upon ‘his resignation’.
Gabrielyan assumed the office on 22 June 2018.
His appointment to the post sparked public controversy. According to some media reports, Ara Gabrielyan has been convicted in the U.S. for stalking his 35-year old ex-girlfriend with GPS.
