Armenian citizen detained after illegally crossing Artsakh border from Iran
An Armenian citizen was detained on 5 August, at around 10:35pm, after illegally crossing the Artsakh state border through Araks River, the Artsakh police told Panorama.am.
The man of Yazidi origin (b. 1988) was caught near Tsopadzor bordering village of Artsakh’s Kashatagh region by the Armenian National Security Service border troops and handed over to the Artsakh security authorities.
The detainee, who is registered in Metsamor town of Armenia’s Armavir region, crossed the Artsakh border from the territory of Iran without any documents.
