Armenia’s soap production doubles in first half-year
Armenia saw a strong growth in soap production in the first half of 2018, according to the latest statistics.
Soap production volumes doubled in the country from January to June this year to reach 349 tons from 170.7 of the same period last year, the Statistical Committee of Armenia told Panorama.am.
The first half of 2018 also recorded a significant increase of 19 percent in production of washing, cleaning and starching agents, which stood at 2,104 tons against the 1,768.5 tons of the same period of 2017.
