Production volumes of wine and cognac down in Armenia
The production volumes of brandy, vodka, wine, and whiskey have significantly dropped in the first six months in Armenia, according to the data, released by the National Statistical Service,
As the source details, the brandy production volumes totaled to 12,339.0 thousand liters within six months of this year which is 11.7% decrease to compare the production volumes of the previous year.
According to the official statistics, 3,829.7 thousand liters of wine was produced in Armenia in January-June 2018, showing a 0.8% percent decline against the same period of 2017.
In the mentioned period, 1, 553.8 thousand liters if vodka has been produced in the republic, constituting 37.7% drop to compare with the same period of the year 2917.
The country’s whiskey output amounted to 366.5 thousand liters in January0June 2018, showing a decrease of 54.7% against the previous year’s production volumes (808.6 thousand liters).
Meantime, the beer production volumes increased by 9%, amounting 10, 158.4 thousand litres.
