Passenger vehicle rolled over into a canyon on Berd-Chambarak highway, casualties reported
“VAZ-2106” car had run off the roadway and slid into the canyon (about 200 m) on the 34th km of Berd-Chambarak highway. Armenia’s ministry of emergency situations (MES) reported, adding the information was received at night of August 20.
A fire brigade from the fire and rescue squad of the rescue service of MES left for the scene.
Before the rescuers arrived at the scene the driver and two passengers had been taken out of the car by local forces. One of the casualties was hospitalized to the medical center of Berd town, the others- to the military hospital of Berd town. According to doctors the casualties were in satisfactory condition.
