Unprecedented growth of apricot export recorded in Armenia
As of August 2, 2018, 121,295 tons of fresh fruit and vegetables were exported from Armenia, the country's agriculture ministry reported on Tuesday. According to the operative data of the ministry, it is more 49 thousand tones or 67.7% increase to compare with the export volumes of the indicated period last year.
According to the source, an unprecedented growth of apricot export has been registered during the ongoing year with 51,594 tones exported as of today, exceeding the volumes of the previous year by 81.2%.
According to the source, Russia is the main export destination with 94.5% share of total export from Armenia, while Georgia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, UAE, Romania, Belgium, Macedonia, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Iraq, and the US accounted the smaller share of the total export volumes.
