Gunmen attack former Court of Cassation head's mansion
Three heavily armed and masked gunmen entered the area of a mansion belonging to Arman Mkrtumyan, former Chairman of Armenia’s Court of Cassation, late on Tuesday.
During the attack that occurred at around 10pm, Mkrtumyan and his family were at home, Sona Truzyan, an adviser to the head of Armenia’s Investigative Committee, said in a post on Facebook.
According to preliminary information, the gunmen opened irregular fire toward the house located in the village of Dzoraghbyur in Armenia’s Kotayk Province.
One of the alleged attackers has been neutralized and detained, she said.
A criminal case has been launched into robbery, illegal procurement and possession of arms and ammunition.
