Petrol, diesel fuel prices up in Armenia in one year
August saw a 0.5% price cut in the non-food product market of Armenia compared to July 2018, according to the latest figures released by the Armenian Statistical Committee.
Prices for shoes and clothing dropped by 2.7% and 2.2% respectively last month. Prices of cleaning and washing agents, jewellery, large electronic appliances, fuels and lubricants also decreased in August of the running year.
Meanwhile, pharmaceutical products, carpets and floor coverings, small electric appliances, house construction materials, household and horticultural tools, glassware, tableware and home furnishings saw 0.1%, 0.1%, 0.3%, 0.6%, 0.8% and 1.2% price rise, respectively last month. Furniture prices did not change in August from previous month.
Petrol prices remained unchanged in August against July 2018, while diesel fuel prices grew by 0.7%. Meantime, petrol and diesel fuel prices grew by 17.1% and 28.8%, respectively in August this year to compare with August 2017, while an increase of 9.3% and 23.3% was observed in their prices against December 2017.
