Pashinyan-Putin talks held in Moscow
There are no issues that may remain unsolved in bilateral relations of Armenia and Russia, Armenian Prime Minister Nikola Pashinyan stated today at the beginning of talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
As TASS agency reported, at the beginning of the meeting Russian president referred to the unique character of the bilateral relations
“The relations between our country are dynamically progressing in all directions, including in the political, military and security spheres as well as the economic cooperation,” Putin said, as quoted by the source.
According to the Kremlin release, Putin reminded that Russia remains the leading trade and economic partner of Armenia, noting the trade grew 30 % over the past year and 22% in the first six months of the ongoing year.
PM Pashinyan, in turn, congratulated on the Moscow Day and expressed his satisfaction to be in the Russian capital in a festive atmosphere.
Pashinyan said the regularity of the meetings speaks of the unique character of the relations between the two countries. “Despite the pessimism in Armenian and Russian media and social media, I think our relations are dynamically progressing,” assured the Armenian PM.
“I am confident all existing issues will be solved, and our allied relations will be based on the approach that respects the interests of our countries, their sovereignty and the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs,” added Pashinyan.
