Russia’s Putin accepts Pashinyan’s invitation to visit Armenia
Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to visit Armenia in the near future, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told the Kommersant newspaper in an interview.
The comments to the Russian newspaper on Sunday, September 9, come a day after Pashinyan met with Putin in Moscow.
“I have invited Vladimir Putin to visit Yerevan. We agreed that the visit will take place in the near future,” he said in response to the reporter’s remarks that the Russian leader has paid no visit to Armenia since Pashinyan became PM, while the latter has visited Russia for three times already.
The PM said Putin has accepted the invitation, adding the visit will take place in early 2019, if not in late 2018.
