Armenian, Georgian PMs vow to grow trade turnover to 1 bilion USD
Today, we had and interesting discussion and formed a quite ambitious plan to develop our relations, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated today at a joint press conference with his Georgian counterpart Mamuka Bakhtadze in Yerevan.
“For sure, relations between Armenia and Georgia are excellent and out main task is to suit the economic component to the nature and emotional level of the relations between our peoples,” the Armenian PM stressed.
Pashinyan also congratulated Bakhtadze on his new role as prime minister and hoped that his appointment in the position will further enhance Georgian-Armenian relations.
Pashinyan then said the Georgian PM has proposed “an ambitious plan” that may potentially grow the bilateral trade to one billion USD.
“This is a certain topic that requires a road map to be discussed,” said the PM, adding the Armenian-Georgian intergovernmental commission will hold a session soon to form the road map for fostering the trade, political humanitarian, education and cultural relations.
