Yerevan park opened in Chicago
A park named Yerevan was opened today in Chicago, the United States. As the press department at the foreign ministry reported, the initiative was implemented by the Honorary Consulate of Armenia in Chicago and Business Armenia Foundation. The program was also supported by the local Armenian community and the city authorities. According to the source, number of benches with Chicago-Yerevan marking were placed in the park.
The solemn opening ceremony was attended RA Honorary Consul Oskar Tatosyan, the Business Armenia Foundation representative of the US Western part Paruyr Sargsyan, others. As the Honorary Consul noted in his remarks that discussions are held with Chicago city authorities to expand links in tourism, high tech, agriculture sectors.
As the Honorary Consul noted, the Yerevan Park will contribute to expansion of friendship between Chicago and Yerevan
