Situation stable in Armenian border village after Azeri shelling – minister
The situation in the border village of Baghanis in Armenia's Tavush region is stable at the moment, Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan told reporters at a briefing on Wednesday.
Azerbaijani fire targeted Baghanis on Tuesday evening, but the gunshots did not cause any damage to the residence.
“The situation is stable. Such ceasefire violations occur regularly, to which our armed forces respond, and the situation gets stabilized. There is nothing to worry about at the moment,” Tonoyan said.
According to the minister, such ceasefire breaches are generally linked with agricultural and engineering works.
This is the second Azerbaijani shelling of the village in recent days.
