Russia’s Putin to visit Armenia: media
Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning an official visit to Armenia, Izvestia reports, citing his spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
The Russian official, however, did not unveil specific dates for the visit.
“The timeframes are yet to be agreed upon,” he told the Russian newspaper.
Earlier on 8 September, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan invited Putin to Yerevan as he was hosted by the Russian leader in Moscow.
“I have invited Vladimir Putin to visit Yerevan. We agreed that the visit will take place in the near future,” Pashinyan told the Kommersant newspaper in an interview.
The PM said the Russian president had accepted the invitation, predicting 'the visit will take place in early 2019, if not in late 2018.'
Putin is also expected to visit Azerbaijan at the end of September.
