
Armenia’s Constitutional Court has new judge
The Armenian National Assembly elected Arman Dilanyan as new judge for the Constitutional Court in a secret ballot at Thursday’s sitting.
Some 88 lawmakers out of the overall 105 took part in the voting, Gagik Melikyan, the chair of the parliament's Counting Committee, said, summing up the voting outcome.
81 MPs voted for Dilanyan’s candidacy, while only 7 voted against, with no ballot paper declared invalid, he revealed.
Arman Dilanyan was nominated for the position by the General Assembly of Judges.
