A crocodile farm to be established in Armenia’s Dashtavan village
A crocodile farm will be established in Dashtavan village of Armenia’s Ararat province in the coming years, governor Garik Sargsyan stated today at a press conference, summing up his activities of the past 100 days in office.
As the governor informed, “Armot” ltd has rented 15 hectares of land for establishing the farm and has launched discussions with the resident about the programme. The company plans to invest 1,5 million USD in the coming year with expected growth of the investment volumes up to 10 million USD in the five-year perspective.
It was noted that the investor is from Tanzania who is interested in manufacturing of crocodile skin. Additionally, with the establishment of the farm the residents will benefit from the expected infrastructure development.
