Parliament speaker hopeful about restoring high indices in the Armenian-French economic relations
Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Ara Babloyan attended on Thursday the event organized on the occasion of the visit of France-Armenia Friendship Group of the Senate of France and the holding of the 11th Forum of the Francophone International NGO in Armenia.
Welcoming the attendees, the speaker Babloyan in his speech has touched upon the inter-parliamentary, inter-state warm relations of the two countries, underlining with satisfaction that they are on the firm bases.
According to Ara Babloyan, its vivid evidence is that in the last one year twice France-Armenia Friendship Groups of the Senate of France, the RA President visited the Republic of France, the Prime Minister of Armenia in now in France, and in October of this year the President of France would arrive in Armenia.
“In October the 17th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie will be held, and Armenia will assume its presidency for two years: certainly, all this testifies to the strengthening of Francophonie values in Armenia,” Ara Babloyan noted.
The Head of the legislative body also talked about the Armenian-French economic and trade relations besides the Armenian-French inter-parliamentary ties. Ara Babloyan expressed hope that we would succeed to restore the former high indices in the Armenian-French economic relations and provide their further growth.
In his remarks, Babloyan also welcomed the holding of the 11th Forum of the Francophone International NGO in Armenia and expressed trust that with that event the relations of Armenia with the Francophone countries would be more strengthened.
