Yerevan to host Energy Week 2018 in November
The Armenian capital of Yerevan will host Energy Week Armenia 2018 high profile international event from 14 to 16 November, the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources said in a press release.
The event to be held under the auspices of the Armenian government will demonstrate prospects of the country’s energy sector and unlock the potential of international cooperation. It will serve as a platform to discuss new opportunities as well as challenges faced by the energy sector of Armenia.
The development of Armenia’s renewable energy resources is of the utmost importance in order to promote the country’s energy security. At the same time, there is huge untapped potential in the country from solar, hydro, wind, and geothermal sources, the ministry says.
International investors from the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Austria, USA, UAE will be in attendance to learn about investment opportunities in this sector.
Energy Week Armenia 2018 is jointly organized by Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency (R2E2) Fund and Invest In Network Limited, a UK-based consultancy, with the official support of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources.
