Armenian lawmaker briefs PACE on Azeri cross-border shootings
Head of the Armenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Arpine Hovhannisyan has notified the PACE Monitoring Committee on Azerbaijan’s recent shelling of Armenian border villages, including the village of Koti, which left an Armenian citizen wounded.
“Taking advantage of the latest domestic political developments in Armenia, the Azerbaijani authorities are attempting to pin the blame for possible failures of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement on the Armenian side,” she said in a post on Facebook.
The lawmaker once again stressed, “we are more than united when to comes to the Artsakh issue.”
Hovhannisyan also said at the request of the committee she had presented the latest domestic political processes in Armenia in line with its agenda.
“Given the confidentiality of the committee’s activities I will unveil the adopted decisions and the committee’s stance when they will be available for disclosure,” she said.
