Another public piano installed in Yerevan
A new public piano was installed in a central park, next to Martiros Saryan statue in Armenia’s capital Yerevan. Decorated by artists and designers, the piano is available for everyone to play and enjoy. The opening of the space was attended by Armenia’s Culture Minister Lilit Makunts and composer Tigran Mansuryan.
It was noted that the street piano creates a place for exchange and an opportunity for people to connect, as the visitors can record a music and share on social media through #playwithus, #createwithus hashtags.
The project is implemented by the ministry of culture. As Minister Makunts informed in the future more pianos will appear in other public spaces to be equipped with Wi-Fi and phone charging system.
