Consultations on replacing CSTO’s Khachaturov underway, Armenian FM says
The consultations on replacing the Russia-led Collective Security Treaty Organization’s (CSTO) Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov with another Armenian candidate are underway, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said after today’s Cabinet meeting.
“The consultations continue. This is the only thing I can state at the moment,” he told reporters.
Khachaturov has been charged with overthrowing Armenia's constitutional order as part of the criminal probe into Yerevan's March 2008 postelection crackdown that left 10 people, including two police officers, dead.
