Pashinyan walks into protesting crowd to hear out their problems
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan walked today into the protesting crowed in front of the government building to hear out their complaints.
A group of displaced people from Artsvashen, an Armenian exclave occupied by Azerbaijani military since 8 August 1992, staged a protest on Thursday morning to voice their housing issues and demand compensation for their lost properties.
They were demanding a meeting with the prime minister.
Before the PM came out to meet the crowd, the situation was getting tense since they attempted to break the police shield and burst into the government headquarters.
“We have been raising our issue for 26 years already,” one of the protesters said, addressing Pashinyan.
The demonstrators and the PM agreed to meet on 2 October. “I propose you to form a group of five men and meet me,” the PM said.
