Number of victims growing in Iran gunmen attack
At least 24 people killed and 53 wounded in the gunman attack during a military parade the southwest Iranian city of Ahvaz on Saturday, the Associated Press reported. According to the source, gunmen disguised as soldiers attacked the military parade that was marking 38 years to Iran-Iraq war.
Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif immediately blamed the attack on regional countries and their "U.S. masters," calling the gunmen "terrorists recruited, trained armed and paid" by foreign powers.
"There are a number of non-military victims, including women and children who had come to watch the parade," the agency cited an unnamed official source as saying.
