Yerevan elections: Police hotline handles 11 calls as of 12pm
The hotline service launched by the Armenian police has received 11 calls over the ongoing City Council elections in the Armenian capital of Yerevan as of 12pm.
Two of the reports refer to an alleged attempt to direct voters by a group of young men outside a polling station and a failure of fingerprint identification machines in another polling station as of 8am, the police said in a statement, adding its officers have immediately checked both reports.
The rest of the calls are concerned with clarifications sought by Yerevan residents regarding such matters as addresses of polling stations, the right to voting with identification cards, election campaign posters in elevators of blocks of flats on the election day and others. Police say all the citizens have been provided with necessary information.
