Armenia has embarked on the final stage of preparations for the 17th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tigran Balayan told a news conference on Wednesday.
More than 300 reports have already been accredited to cover the summit and the related events, he said, adding of them, only 50 are local media representatives.
The events of the Francophonie summit are set to kick off in Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, on 7 October to run through 12 October. The summit is expected to bring together dozens of leaders from the OIF member states, including French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
