Armenian teams secured second round wins at Chess Olympiad
The Armenian men’s and women’s teams have scored second round wins at the ongoing 2018 Chess Olympiad in Batumi, Georgia.
In the second round, Armenian men’s team defeated Kazakhstan due to the victory of the leading Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian.
As the Chess Federation of Armenia reports, the women’s team recorded an impressive win victory against Austria with Anna Sargsyan and Maria Kursova winning their games.
In the third round, the men’s team will face Turkey, while women will play against Greece.
