World-renowned Vienna choir, Moscow orchestra to perform at Yerevan int'l festival
A concert of the world-famous Vienna Boys Choir will open the 19th edition of Yerevan Perspectives International Music Festival on 4 October.
The concert of the historical choir is set for Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall at 7pm, Panorama.am reports, citing the festival’s Facebook page.
Vienna Boys Choir is the oldest constantly acting choir of the world founded in 1498 (520 years ago). Such renowned composers as Mozart, Salieri, Gluck, Bruckner, Joseph Haydn, Michael Haydn, Franz Schubert, Beethoven and Bach themselves performed for and worked with this choir.
Khachaturian Concert Hall will host another concert by Grammy Award-winning Moscow Soloists Chamber Orchestra (soloist and conductor: Yuri Bashmet), on 15 October as part of the Yerevan music festival.
