Construction materials production grows in Armenia
According to the data released by the National Statistical Service (NSS) of Armenia, the production volumes of certain types of building materials have grown in Armenia. Namely, in January-August 2018 the cement production rose by 77% in Armenia to compare with the same period of 2017.
To note, 357 tons of cement were produced in Armenia within the first nine months in this year, comparing to the 201.7 tons of cement produced in the same period of 2017.
According to the NSS, within the first nine months of 2018, the production of tuff, prefabricated reinforced concrete structures and gypsum mortar rose by 82.5% and 60.6% respectively.
In parallel to this, in January-August 2018, the production volumes of glass containers rose by 20%, while the production volumes of natural stone paving slabs increased by 60.5%.
